Originally built in 1925, 2820 Newell hosted countless tenants in the century since it was constructed until most recently when it served the Self-Realization Fellowship as a storage depot. Developing the site to honor the low-slung frontage relationship with the LA River, we are bringing new life, new users, and new amenities to the community without bulldozing the properties, and without building up the river edge with new tall stick-framed eye sores. With our unique ability to convert these old buildings, the site is unfolding with new uses week after week, with a 2017 completion date to include food, coffee, and studios for creative makers.
